Marchon Road Bots $2.68/each in 1985

Run an internet search for “marchon road bots” and there’s a very good chance that you’ll be directed to battlegrip.com. You see, I’ve collected and shared enough info and pics of the toys — including three reviews posted in January of 2009 (Hookorr review, Loadorr review, Cementorr review) — that this site is kinda the default resource for the line. So, that means that even though we just saw the toys in a post yesterday, it’s time for another look at these cheap transforming robot toys.

The above Zayre advertisement comes from the March 10, 1985, issue of the Tampa Tribune newspaper . . . and there’s enough awesome in this paper that I’ll have to return to it very soon and share more.
