Marchon’s Tune Ups Aren’t Key Cars

One of the earliest set of toys I reviewed here at battlegrip.com was the cheap transforming robot toy series, Roadbots. But as much as I loved those robot toys from Marchon I have to remind myself that the company made more than just the snap-apart and reassemble robot toys. What kind of toys? Well, how about these Tune Ups cars?

Notice that the cars have a key-like launcher that’s inserted into the back, not unlike the Burnin’ Key Cars (mentioned here) that had been released way before 1987. Is it any wonder we all look back at the eighties in amazement? Just how many horribly fun toys were released in that decade?
