Marionette Shop in Prague
Last night while walking Prague we ran across a shop selling many, many Czech-crafted marionettes. These are incredible and creepy works of art, and each one deserved far more time than I had. I looked for a book, but the shop sold all kinds of awesome marionettes and not a single book packed with photos of the puppets. I definitely would have bought such a book if it had been there.
myczechrepublic.com has more on marionettes if you’re interested in seeing these.

Do you think this is the shop Mike Mignola visited while filming Blade 2 and was the inspiration for the short “Vampire of Prague” Hellboy story??
@Matthew Miller – It could be. Or maybe one of the others; I saw at least four different shops yesterday walking through the city.
If you love creepy puppets. You should check out the video of Mel Birnkrant’s Bubbles La Rue.
