Marvel Model Kit Pre-Orders at Sideshow Collectibles

Produced by Knight Models, these upcoming Marvel model kits of Venom*, Gambit**, and Captain America*** are scary-expensive resin pieces. Each one is roughly 3-inches tall and priced at $70, placing these firmly in the “garage kit” class when it comes to pricing.

The photos make these models look great, but when I saw the price I was expecting these to be 12-inch scale model kits. I mean, $70 for a 3-inch resin kit is . . . I can’t even put my immediate thoughts into words. I know that some resin kit collectors read battlegrip.com so can any of you guys let me know just what kits of this size and price are like?

So if you didn’t know that these were 3-inch resin model kits, but did understand that they were resin kits that require assembly and painting, would you order one of them? Do you think that the photos make these kits look cool enough that you thought about pre-ordering one before you noticed the size? Or am I the only person bothered by the size of these kits?
