Marvel Select Iron Man 2 Mark VI Armor
I’ve only got a couple of Marvel Select action figures (Ultimate Iron Man review here, Captain America Unmasked review here), but this upcoming Marvel Select Iron Man Mark VI* looks cool enough that my Marvel Select collection may have to grow a little. I prefer the 3.75-inch scale to the 7-inch of Marvel Select, but I suspect that one of these would look great with my Iron Man toy and statue collection. I’m torn, though, because I know that this toy will likely be more poseable statue than toy . . . I’ll have to think about this before making a decision on whether or not I grab the toy.
“Iron Man returns to the big screen, and Stark Enterprises has made some upgrades! Your enjoyment of 2010’s Iron Man 2 sequel begins right here. Exclusively available in the Marvel Select line, this upgraded Iron Man stands 7-inches tall and features top-quality sculpted detail, multiple points of articulation, and a bonus, deluxe Armor Assembly Station base!”

I’ve been seeing these at Hastings stores for a couple of months now. They have more articulation than you might think, but the hips are a bit of a pain to work with. This link is the Borders Mark IV, but it has identical articulation to this one.

You’re right about it being more for posing than playing, but it DOES look really cool. I recently reviewed it and the Wal-Mart 6″ Mark VI. Both have their ups and downs, but the Marvel Select version would probably look better with your display. 🙂
Okay, guys, thanks for the info. I’ll have to give one of these a shot.
