Masters of the Universe Action Figures on Sale in 1984
From the same newspaper as that recent G.I. Joe Skystriker advertisement comes this dark, grainy ad for Mattel’s Masters of the Universe action figures. I wish the reproduction quality on this were better, but at least we can clearly see the prices that the toys were selling for at the time. This is a great point of references if anyone out there is doing research on the rise and fall of He-Man in the eighties. I know that Mastering the Universe* would be a far more valuable research tool if it went into actual retail sale and clearance prices . . .
