Masters of the Universe Rebate Offer from 1985
So yesterday I speculated that the reason it’s so easy to find newspaper ads for the Masters of the Universe Dragon Walker is that retailers were sitting on too many of them. Well, I may not have been far off, because this 1985 newspaper includes a Mattel rebate offer to save on various Masters of the Universe toys . . . including the Dragon Walker! This isn’t proof that retailers were stuck with the toys, but it certainly points us in a direction that suggests Dragon Walker toys were cluttering retailer inventory.
