Max Headroom in Starlog Magazine
If you’ve never watched the eighties television show, Max Headroom*, then you’ve been missing out on something unexpectedly awesome. A cyberpunkish series, ABC battered and beat the Max Headroom* show and never gave the series a chance to find an audience. According to the Wikipedia entry the show ran for two seasons, but what I best remember about trying to watch it as a kid was that I never knew when it was on.
Now I know why it was so tough to figure out what time to turn on the television. According to this article in the September, 1989 issue of Starlog magazine the show was moved around on the schedule and never given a stable home. Regardless of how things ended, the resulting series is one that still holds up fairly well. I think I’ll pop the DVD in now!
