May, 1985 AutoVentures Advertisement

The Task Force Games AutoVentures modules (find at Amazon.com*) were created as supplements to the top car combat games of the eighties: Car Wars, BattleCars, and Highway 2000, even if it honestly feels like both BattleCars and Highway 2000 were included so that the adventures weren’t clearly nothing more than unlicensed Car Wars products. I enjoyed the hell out of these back when they were new — even going so far as playing the solitare Hell on Wheels adventure — and finding this second ad for the line (1984 ad posted here) in an issue of Game News magazine was a shocking treat. I had assumed the line didn’t get advertising beyond that 1984 Dragon magazine ad. I was wrong.
