Mecha Zone Artbook at Kickstarter

David White (website) released Mecha Zone 2 last year (mentioned here) and it’s a fantastic collection of mecha designs that should inspire anyone who wants to start illustrating mecha and giant robots. And the book is still available, but that’s not why I’m here today . . .

With less than two weeks to go, White needs our help for his new Kickstarter project. At the moment he needs $600 to meet his goal, and if met there will be a new edition of the original Mecha Zone book that was first published in 2004. And a donation of just $25 gets you the book . . . but of course you can donate more for one of the more impressive donator rewards.

Mecha Zone? Back in 2004 I used print-on-demand technology to create a small art book called Mecha Zone. It was a 6″ x 9″ softcover book packed with 64 pages of original robot designs and drawings. Exciting, right? I only made about 175 copies and they have been gone for a long time. Now I want to re-master that book into something bigger and better. I have saved some money for the project but offset printing is expensive and I still need $3000 to make it happen.
