Mego Elastic Heroes in 1979

If we keep flipping through that 1979 Star Wars comic where we uncovered an awesome Rom advertisement, we quickly find this Mego ad for Elastic Super Heroes, the toymaker’s attempt at capitalizing on the success of the Stretch Armstrong toy of the seventies. I never had any of these as a kid, but I cannot deny that there’s a strange appeal to owning a stretchy Hulk or Spider-Man toy.
