“Mego’s Eagle Force Save Almost 50%”
Mego’s Eagle Force military action figures died a quick death at retail, the die-cast metal figures unable to compete with Hasbro’s newly-launched G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toyline that year. Worse still, Mego as a company was in trouble, driving the Eagle Force line to the grave even quicker. Well, at least the company made enough toys that we can look at this 1982 newspaper ad and find a playset, vehicles, and action figures all at amazingly low prices. Want!
The original prices on these are just a tad optimistic. I never knew this line had a base though, pretty cool!
