Metal Gear Solid 12-Inch Scale Solid Snake at Sideshow Collectibles
The closest I’ve ever been to the Metal Gear Solid games is the Ashley Wood-illustrated Metal Gear Solid comic* that was published about five years ago. I enjoyed the comic, but not so much that I rushed out to buy the game.
Well, my limited experience with the series may be helping me right now, because a lack of deep knowledge of the game means I can safely avoid this Solid Snake 12-inch scale action figure* that’s up for a second chance offer at Sideshow Collectibles.
“Sideshow Collectibles proudly presents the outstanding RAH figures of Medicom Toy Corporation. These fully articulated 1:6 scale figures are of the highest quality and detail, ready to take life on your shelf in any dynamic pose that you desire, capable of nearly any pose that the human body can achieve. From the acclaimed video game Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots comes the RAH Solid Snake – Olive Drab Version, an amazing addition to any display.”
$175 is a lot for a 12-inch scale action figure; this is a Hot Toys release so I’m sure it’s amazing, but I still haven’t brought myself to buy one of their action figures because the prices are usually about double a Sideshow release.
For a very close look at the toy check out this review at YouTube. This is the 4th part of the review, but from what I can tell this is the video to watch to see the toy in play.

Did they ever make small Metal Gear figures, like GI Joe size? I’d love to have a MGS figure…they’d go nice next to Tron.
@Redline Derby – I don’t know of any 3.75-inch Metal Gear Solid action figures, but if they were to come into existence I would have to grab a few. Excellent idea!
id buy them in 3 3/4 scale
