Mezco Bringing Batman to Shelves
OCTOBER 5, 2014 UPDATE: Pre-order at Entertainment Earth!*
Frank Miller’s Batman: The Dark Knight Returns* is closing in on its thirtieth anniversary and DC is still making the bucks off of the series. The latest? A series from Mezco titled The One:12 Collective, and as these pics I shot while at SDCC show (it’s nice when one of your meetings takes you right to a booth with toys this cool) the line looks incredible.
At first I thought these were statues along the lines of the Batman Black & White series (Amazon.com search*), but then TheFwoosh posted:
“Combining superior sculpting with an abundance of articulation, the One:12 Collective figures feature over 32 points of articulation, capable of over 40,000 possible poses: combining form and function to create a remarkably realistic aesthetic.”
Okay, I didn’t think these were articulated action figures. It appears I was wrong . . . and now I want this line even more than I did before I found out these are more than statues. And Judge Dredd is in this series? Sold!
