Joe and the anti-war movement of the sixties, but is there anything better than actually looking back at the past to better understand a situation? Here’s a 1966 newspaper article where Hasbro’s G.I. Joe gets singled out for abuse by anti-war moms, with the best part of the article the mention of possible Viet Cong and Red Chinese enemies for G.I. Joe action figures of the time. I bet kids would have loved that.
