Milton Bradley’s “Dark Tower” and Mattel’s Hand-Held “Dungeons & Dragons”
Earlier this week I shared a 1983 review of Mattel’s old Dungeons & Dragons LCD Handheld Game. I’ve continued to resist the urge to chase down the game for myself, but I’ve been unable to ignore the various articles I can find online about that game.
And that’s where this 1981 newspaper article enters our picture. Written by Steve Turner in the December 7, 1981 issue of The Ledger newspaper, we get an enjoyable overview of Mattel’s game and even Milton Bradley’s Dark Tower boardgame. How have I still not pulled my copy of that game down and played it?
