Moriarty: The Dark Chamber at Kickstarter
Now’s your chance to help another artist at Kickstarter. This time we’re looking at Moriarty: The Dark Chamber, a comic project by Daniel Corey (website, Twitter). Looks like a great art style, and the project is down to a little over two weeks to get its full funding.
MORIARTY: THE DARK CHAMBER is an upcoming graphic novel from DangerKatt Creative Studio, written by Daniel Corey, with art by Anthony Diecidue and letters and graphics by Dave Lanphear. The book is inspired by characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
MORIARTY is going to be a three-chapter trade publication. Chapter #1 is complete, but we need your help to fund Chapter #2. The money received from backers will aid in production, covering the cost of art, letters and final assembly. The individual chapters of MORIARTY will debut online, and will go to print when the entire book is complete.
You can see pages from the book here, and I think you’ll enjoy these if you like stylized artwork with a lot of ink. Good luck to Corey on the project, I hope you get your funding!
I love that we’re in an age when people have the chance to directly support art projects, either through purchasing direct from artists or by donating to incomplete projects. Kickstarter’s great, and more artists should take advantage of it.
