Murphy’s Mart and Strawberry Shortcake in 1983

I’m still on the hunt for G.I. Joe newspaper ads of the eighties, but I refuse to let something as fun as this Strawberry Shortcake ad slip by without sharing it with the world. Kenner’s Strawberry Shortcake series of the eighties is pure awesome, with so many accessories, vehicles, and dolls that it’s more of an action figure line for girls than just a simple line of dolls and doll accessories. Trust me, if you’re into the history of toys then it pays to examine this line closely.
