New Glyos Wave is Now Live

Visit Onell Design!

Visit the Onell Design store for the latest batch of Glyos System action figures including the Big Rig, a few new Rig Wings, and a bunch of new Glyans. See this post at the Glyos Transmission Web Log for the complete list of new releases.

UPDATE: All three of the new Rigs are already gone. Congrats to the Onell crew on the fast sell of those vinyl toys. That was faster than I expected.

If you’re unfamiliar with the series you can check out my two Glyan reviews (first review here, second review here) for information on the newest action figure design in the series. But what’s most important is that these are a lot of fun; they’re construction toys and action figures all rolled into one.

To celebrate the new launch I put together this quick image of a Glyanaut. It’s not a toy you can buy, but it’s one that you can build out of various parts. See the various Glyanaut posts at the Glyos Transmission Web Log for a better look at the design and an idea of what you need to build your own.

  1. Any word on the production numbers on those Rigs? I’m really curious if this is a bigtime rise in sales, my knowledge of vinyl production runs in general is really limited.

  2. @Vangelus – I’m not sure what the current numbers are, but I know/think Onell keeps upping runs to cover demand so I’m hoping that the fast sell means there are new collectors getting into the series.

  3. I’m totally bummed right now. I had the Big Rig in my cart, but it was unavailable at check out. I guess from now on I will purchase what I want, right away, and then go back for the other stuff. This is truly a sad day.

  4. I had the RigWing in my cart while considering the Big Rig, then when the page reloaded the BIG Rig was gone, so I went to check out and the Rig Wing was gone, too! That’s a helluva sellout! That’s like Moss Man business right there, man.

Congrats to Onell Design for another really successful drop! I missed the rig this time, but I’ll get one someday!

  5. Ugh, I need like EVERYTHING from this wave, I hope things aren’t completely sold out by the time I get paid…

  6. @Aaron – Damn, that sucks. One thing I’ve learned over the years is to always grab the big, new stuff immediately and then go back and place a second order. I’m hoping that Onell Design will release a new edition of the Big Rig — maybe in slightly different colors and drastically different tampos — because it sounds like there’s still a demand for the toy.

  7. @Black Zarak – Did you catch that post at the October Toys forum where someone suggested the Transformers Black Zarak colorway for a future Big Rig release?

  8. @Mr. Reed – Yes, sir, I sure did! I didn’t get as much as I would have liked for cash constraints, but I was able to get three Glyans, the Sarvos, an extra set, and some axis joints.

It was a helluva drop, everything was just beautiful. That Traedian color scheme hit somewhere deep. I don’t know if it’s just Air Raiders or Blot the Terrorcon or what, but I love that scheme.

And since I didn’t get a Rig, I went ahead and tossed in a Crayboth set. Win some, win some. 🙂

  9. @Phil – No, I had not seen that discussion, that would be pretty awesome. I’m sure it would sell out before I ever got one, but Gylans, Travelers, Buildmen and Gendrones in that color scheme would be fantastic as well. I’m already thinking about what parts in purple, black, yellow and silver I need to build Insecticon themed figures from the Traedian and Secticore Gylans.
