News – Fury Files Launches in Under Nine Hours

The new Marvel Universe 3.75-inch action figures are now in stores (I’ve managed to find Iron Man in Stealth Armor, Daredevil, and Spider-Man at Toys’R’Us) with the official release date set for tomorrow.

Also launching tomorrow is the associated website, www.furyfiles.com, which is currently running a countdown to March 1, 2009. Each figure comes with a secret code that is intended to be typed in at the site but, unfortunately, the site isn’t yet ready to accept codes.

My Spider-Man review is in the queue and ready to launch on Monday. I liked Spider-Man enough that I went to a different Toys’R’Us today where I found Iron Man and Daredevil. These appear to be selling fast, since the pegs were pretty bare. The figures I’ve picked up so far are infinitely superior to Mattel’s DC Universe Infinite Heroes series.

  1. Looking forward to the review. Might be tempted to get Spidey if it’s a good review, though the only one I’m actually planning to get at this time is Stealth Iron Man.

I’m glad to know they’re better than the Mattel line (not that hard frankly), but if possible, I’d sure like to see what you think of them compared to GI Joe or Star Wars (especially Joes).

  2. Stealth Ops Iron Man is fantastic, better than Spider-Man (and Spider-Man is very nice). I may have to run to San Antonio today to see if the Toys’R’Us there has any of these.
