Nistuff’s Anamolies and Glyos Customs at NYCC
Toy artist and customizer Nistuff (website, Twitter) released his Anamoly series toys at NYCC this past weekend and in addition to the bad cell phone photos that I posted I also used the good camera to get some better shots of the various toys.
My first impressions of the toy line would probably be best described as interested but skeptical. I wasn’t so sure of single-piece tiny toys without any articulation — I know M.U.S.C.L.E. fans are all over this type of toy but I prefer at least a little articulation over no articulation — but actually holding the toys made me realize that these are cute little designs.
In addition to the factory-made PVC gray figures there were also several resin customs by Nistuff as well as custom painted production pieces. And as you can see in this set at Flickr there were tons of the little guys. They were everywhere!
But Nistuff had more than just Anamoly toys at the NYCC. As you can see in the above photo he also had custom Glyos System (Onell Design) available for sale . . . as well as a bin of heads. It was fun watching fans dig through the heads and by the end of the weekend the bin was looking pretty bare.
Word is the con leftovers will be released soonish. Keep an eye on the Nistuff website for details, and while you wait take a look at the various photos that I posted at Flickr.
