This 1982 comic ad for Monogram’s series of Hot Wheels kits shows us just how incredible comic book advertisements were back when I was a kid. You see, today’s comics just don’t carry the range of ads that they once did, and these days it is rare to see toy ads of any sort in a comic. But when I was a kid, toymakers knew that kids bought and loved comics and the manufacturers didn’t hesitate to show us awesome stuff like this.
