The Open Road Media press release for IDW’s reprint of the G.I. Joe short story collection, Tales from the Cobra Wars*, made me all happy when they quoted my review of the book. I hope that my review helps to sway some to give the book a try . . . but this is for purely selfish reasons since I want sales to be so strong that IDW produces a second short story collection.

Why is this book getting more press for the reprint than it ever did for the first edition? I have the first edition. I’ve read it all. It’s decent. It’s not great. It’s certainly not Max Brooks finest hour as an editor.
@Stratos – I think all of the press is because this time the book was published right as a new movie was coming out. Movies drive hype and excitement far more than a simple comic release ever could. I found it a fun read, and I was kinda excited to see that they quoted my review in the official press release. But I’m fairly easy to entertain.
