Order of the Stick Kickstarter Project Passes $500,000

Terrifying. The Order of the Stick webcomic (website) has a Kickstarter project that had a $57,750 goal . . . but it has over half-a-million dollars in funding with a bit over a week left to go. Absolutely terrifying and impressive. Fans of this comic really know how to step up and make a project succeed. And it’s awesome to see this model working so well these days.

Man, maybe that Transformers book I’ve been trying to find time to write is something I should run through Kickstarter. That might be one way to generate enough cash to pay for me to take a month off from work to focus on writing and designing the book.
