Osprey’s Scrappers: Post-Apocalyptic Skirmish Wargames

I mentioned Osprey’s Gaslands miniatures game rules last week, and now I’d like to direct your attention to their Scrappers: Post-Apocalyptic Skirmish Wargames rulebook. What I find fascinating about this game series is that the books are rules only; Osprey doesn’t make miniatures for their games. Instead, the company provides rules and leaves it to players to decide which minis to use.

I’ve no idea if this has any sort of effect on their overall sales or not, but the approach is one I’m impressed by since they keep making more and more game rules . . . and haven’t started making their own minis.

  1. For some reason, I thought Osprey owns Warlord Games, but now I can’t find any evidence of this.

    1. @Roland M Boshnack – I thought they partnered with different people depending on project, but I have no clear knowledge of their operations.
