Pac-Man, Smurfs, and Garfield Shrinky Dinks in 1982
As a kid, I always thought that Shrinky Dinks (find at Amazon.com*) looked like a hell of a lot of fun. I would watch the Shrinky Dinks commercials, fascinated by the magic shown on TV, but I never did get any Shrinky Dinks to play with. I know, I know, poor kid. I survived. Barely.
I’ve no idea of the exact time that I was catching those Shrinky Dinks commercials on TV, but I am willing to bet that it was around the same time that this K-Mart advertisement was published in 1982. And look, G.I. Joe action figures make an appearance in the ad!
