Paolo Bacigalupi’s Ship Breaker Breaks Into the Top Teen Books at B&N
I’ve mentioned Bacigalupi’s Ship Breaker* and The Drowned Cities* in the past, and a tweet today by Paolo Bacigalupi made me quite happy . . . because a third book is coming!
Bacigalupi tweeted out to everyone:
SHIP BREAKER on the top books for teens list at B&N! http://t.co/nygbfCcrDZ

Awesome, because the book’s an incredible read and I’m hoping that it continues to sell well. After a quick response to Bacigalupi asking for a third book to follow Ship Breaker* and The Drowned Cities* he sent back to me one hell of a response that has me excited to order the next book in the series:
.@philipjreed I’ll be working on SEASCAPE as soon as I wrap THE WATER KNIFE. Won’t be ready by next Thursday, though…

Sign me up for Seascape. And just like the earlier two books I’ll also be looking for the limited edition of the next book in the series; after all, it would be wrong to own the limited editions of the first two (see this post) and not a third book in the series.
Now it’s time to search the web for any news/info I can find on Seascape . . .
I wound up enjoying Shipbreaker a lot, though I had some trouble getting into it at first. I’ll have to check out The Drowned Cities.
