Pecanpals Go On Sale Today

I do not own any of the previous wooden toys from www.noferin.com, but I have to admit that these Pecanpals natural wood pieces are attractive and tempting. Each one is hand created, with articulation, and made entirely out of what is described as:

” . . . Pecanpals are made from 100% sustainably harvested wood. They are made from rubber tree wood that would otherwise go to waste. Rubber trees are planted for their rubber, and after about 20 years, their rubber yields start to diminish. We use this beautiful wood, thus saving it from the fire pit.”

The Pecanpals go on sale at 3pm PST today (that’s 5pm for those of you in CST, like me) at the Noferin.com shop. Each design — their site shows five different designs — is limited to a run of 300. Man, that’s a hell of a lot of woodworking to create 1,500 handmade wooden toys. Considering the amount of work each one of these no doubt required, the $45 price tag doesn’t seem all that unreasonable.
