Power Attack Batman at NYCC
Yesterday while looking at the Mattel booth I ran across new Power Attack Batman action figures (Amazon.com search*) in the display case . . . including what look to be 3.75-inch scale figures!
What was most surprising to me was that Mattel dropped the “Power Attack” part of the title from the packaging shown in the case. I guess this line is performing well enough for the company that it can be known as simply “Batman” from here on. But whatever they call it the designs and color choices are so amazing that I’m in. Take a look at the booth photos at Flickr and then you can see my earlier reviews if you’re unfamiliar with the series:
- Power Attack Batman, Thermo Attack Batman
- Power Attack Batman, Toxic Takedown Batman
- Power Attack Batman, Battle Gauntlet Batman
- Power Attack Batman, Total Destruction Batmobile
- Power Attack Batman, Mutant Assault Batman

That translucent green stealthy looking Bats will be mine. Less exciting is the straight up repaint of Thermo Attack Bats. Bane looks pretty cool, but will probably be limited in articulation by the smashing action feature you just know he has.
@Black Zarak – I suspect you’re right about the Bane. But I still want one. And I should grab the Batcave for this series before it vanishes from shelves.
Bane looks pretty awesome, and that Batmobile is a 1000% improvement over the last one!
Hey man I’ve been looking for answers to my questions about the 3 3/4 new batman figures everywhere but cant find them. I was just wondering is the new black and red batmobile and the blue batcycle and fig shown here in the new 3 3/4 scale or are they still 6 inch like the other figs? Thank ya!
@thunderpuncher – The cycle and Batmobile I photographed at NYCC are for 3.75-inch scale figures.
