Power-Con Cancelled
The unofficial Masters of the Universe convention has announced that it is cancelled and will not be happening this year. It sounds like there wasn’t enough support or interest in the convention, and the organizers have decided to close it down.
We appreciate all the kind words and messages of support everyone has shared on behalf of Power-Con. Unfortunately, our goal for advanced sales was not reached which has resulted in cancellation of our 2014 event.
It’s too bad that Mattel didn’t take this con over and run it as a pure marketing vehicle for their Masters of the Universe brand, but there are likely reasons the company let this die quietly. Still, I’d love to hear the discussions at Mattel when they sit down to talk about plans for the brand.

I’m very disappointed it was cancelled. This would have been my first Power-Con! I know it’s tough running smaller conventions, so kudos to the P-C staff for all their hard work and effort organizing it this year. I hope they didn’t take too much of a hit.
