Prehistoric and Futuristic Fighting Machines, Tomy’s Zoids!
December 5, 1982. Here we see more of the Tomy Zoids toyline as it was advertised in the eighties, this time from a K-Mart ad that also features a look at the Atari system from before the video game crash. Those Zoids toy designs are definitely tempting, but there was just something about the line that made it fail then . . . and continue to be a non-brand here in the US. Maybe kids just don’t like wind-up dinosaur-like robots? No, that can’t be it. What kid wouldn’t enjoy a wind-up robotic dinosaur toy?
