Pulsar, the Ultimate Man of Adventure

Mattel sure had some neat toys back in the seventies. Here we have the commercial for Pulsar, the Ultimate Man of Adventure, a massive tall action figure with a lo of gimmicks like a “beating heart and lungs” and a way to pop his face open and insert “mission disks.” Seriously, seeing this makes me think someone needs to take a shot at some toys with pumping blood and cool removable panels; basically, a “Six Million Dollar Man + Pulsar” for today.

  1. I have never heard of Pulsar but the commercial reminded me of Bravestarr. I love that toy line. Who doesn’t love a horse that can stand on two legs and fire a cannon?

  2. I had a Pulsar when I was young.(yeah I’m dating myself) While the inner workings were very cool he had almost no articulation. But his innards were so cool it really didn’t matter.
