Quake II Action Figures in 1999
This ad from 1999 for Quake II action figures (Amazon.com search*) really demonstrates how McFarlane Toys influenced action figure design and sales back in the nineties. Not only are the toys more along the lines of what McFarlane was releasing at the time, but looking at this ad it would be easy to glance and think “hey, something new from McFarlane!”

Never played it, but I still love that Tank figure! I passed on buying a second one at the late KB Toys for under four bucks, and am still kicking myself–hope whoever got him appreciates it!
@googum – I miss KB.
I loved Quake 2. The only figure from that set I have is the Marine. I snagged him a couple of years ago to review (http://www.actionfigurebarbecue.blogspot.com/2014/12/action-figure-review-marine-from-quake.html) and really enjoy him.
Resuarus was a very cool company that released some great stuff. I still love their Duke Nukem figure!
@Barbecue17 – Great! Now we need more reviews of the line. Get to it!!! 🙂
