Quick Pics – Optimus Prime Collectible Figurine

The new Transformers Collectible Figurines (Amazon.com search*) are priced at $3 for a blind-bag, and while in Seattle last month I grabbed a couple of the bags.

The tiny toys inside are taken from Generation One, Prime, and the movies, meaning that I found myself very lucky when I pulled this Transformers Generation One Optimus Prime toy from the bag. He’s gonna look great on the Optimus Prime shelf!

These quick pics give you a pretty good look at the little non-transforming toy. I still have a second bag to open, but since I’m just as likely to find a movie toy as I am a Generation One toy I’ve been hesitating. Should I open the bag, or am I going to be happier knowing that the one time I opened one of these bags I pulled this little Optimus Prime toy?

  1. I wasn’t going to jump in on these, but I got that Prime, the Prime Prime (from the cartoon) and a classic Starscream. The classic designs look great like this, and the Prime ones not too bad. The movie Bayformers…let’s be charitable and say they don’t transfer to that style as well.

    1. @googum – If I could be guaranteed that I would only pull the Generation One toys I’d buy more of these. I suppose it’s too much to hope there’s some sort of code on the packages (like LEGO and some other blind-packed toys get).
