I can say that IDW has really stepped in and blown me away with the quality of their Transformers comics. I was skeptical at first, but they proved me wrong and they continue to produce some of the best Transformers comics we’ve ever seen.
It’s great, then, that they collected a lot of their best artwork and gave us The Art of IDW’s Transformers, a 216-page oversized book with artwork from awesome artists like Ashley Wood, Nick Roche, Don Figueroa, and several other talented artists who have created work for IDW’s many Transformers comics.
The images include covers, sketches, promotional pieces, and even some comic pages. It’s a meaty work with artwork that will inspire anyone who has ever wanted to draw Transformers. Last year I snagged a few different Transformers art books — including some Japanese books — and this is the best of the bunch.
