Remco’s Energized Spider-Man at Revco in 1980

Here’s a 1980 newspaper advertisement that deserves our attention. The image is rough, but that is definitely the Remco Energized Spider-Man toy listed at about 50% off for the holidays. I’ve come close a few times now to buying one of these Spider-Man action figures, and all that has protected me so far is the fact that each one I have run across was blemished or damaged in some manner. If I ever find a perfect condition Energized Spider-Man toy I may be doomed.
