Review – 8-Ball Terror From Space Vinyl Toy
This fantastic little vinyl toy came out of a Kickstarter project that closed last year. Standing almost 5-inches tall to the tip of its head fin, the 8-Ball Terror From Space turned out great and I can say I’m very happy I supported the creation of this toy.
Articulation
Three-points total, so the articulation junkies in the audience will no doubt be sad that the 8-Ball Terror From Space vinyl toy isn’t the most poseable of toys out there. Swivels at the neck and shoulders are it; but look at how awesome the sculpt looks!
Paint
The 8-Ball Terror From Space is cast in red plastic with a black wash bringing out the sculpted details while black, white, red, blue, and off-white paint apps across the body define the features and pull out the crazy look of the eyes — take a look at those fingers! And check out those nasty teeth!
I Wish The Eye Moved
The one thing that would improve on this 8-Ball Terror From Space vinyl toy would be if the eyeball on the head was a separate piece and rotated around inside the head. But no matter how many times I try the eyeball just won’t move; maybe a customizer out there could cut one of these and create an eyeball that can look up, down, left, and right . . . but that’s not me. Still, dreaming doesn’t hurt anything.
Closing Thoughts
I can see that the 8-Ball Terror From Space isn’t for everyone reading battlegrip.com, but any one of you who has loved the various vinyl toys we’ve looked at over the years is encouraged to look into grabbing one of these wacky toys. Keep an eye on the Radioactive Uppercut store for chances at the toy; I completely missed the Pink Eye by one day, but maybe that’s safest for me.
