Review – Fisher-Price Little People Wheelies Batman

The Little People Wheelies Batman* toy is not at all a complicated or exciting design. It’s for little kids — yes, even younger kids than the HeroWorld Batman that I reviewed earlier this month (review here) — but that doesn’t mean that collectors can’t grab one to display with their Batman toys. After all, it’s inexpensive and disgustingly cute. And rolls really well.

Batman’s Part of the Car!

You can just erase those thoughts of pulling this little Batman out of his car and playing with him on his own. As with the other Wheelies toys the character is part of the car, sculpted without anything except for what you can see in the pics. It’s a simple design, but when you’re as adorable as this little Batman then you can be simple and people will still buy you. Seriously, this is for little kids so don’t expect anything more than you see in these photos.

It Rolls!

Wheelies do one thing — roll across the floor — but if this Batman is indicative of the rest of the line then they roll very well. Just slap this car down on any smooth surface and when you give it a shove it races across the floor. And as much as our cats love the toy makes me think that little kids will probably also love it . . . as long as you don’t have cats trying to steal Batman. Trust me, cats will do that once they see this car move across the floor.

Closing Thoughts

The Little People Wheelies Batman* toy is very basic, little more than a toy car with a character sculpted into the body. But it’s Batman, it’s inexpensive, and it’s built for little kids so the car is about as durable as they come. I’m not about to recommend that you rush out and buy every Wheelies toy in the store but I will say that if you’re looking for a fun piece for your Batman collection this one’s worth a look.

And if you have to buy a gift for a kid two or three years old then this is a perfect choice. Inoffensive, feels like it should be quite safe, and is a lot of fun when it rolls across the floor.
