Review – Hot Wheels Angry Birds Minion Pig
Did you know that there’s a Hot Wheels Angry Birds series (Amazon.com search*) in stores right now? Cars and even a track/launcher that bring the Angry Birds characters into the Hot Wheels brand? That’s awesome!
Angry Birds Pig!
The Minion Pig* toy car was the first of the two Hot Wheels Angry Birds cars I found in stores, and as soon as I saw it I just had to grab the car for my collection. I’m not the largest Angry Birds fan out there, but the $1 price tag for this wacky toy car was irresistible. That’s how Mattel grabs us; price the cars so low that they’re impulse buys . . . and soon you find dozens of the cars dominating your home.
Character-Driven Design
The coolest part (obviously) of the Minion Pig* toy car is that it’s a Hot Wheels car that’s customized to look like the pig characters from the Angry Birds brand. I would say Angry Birds game, but whenever I can go out and buy an Angry Birds tabletop game*, Angry Birds RC balloon*, or Angry Birds animated series* then we’re dealing with a lot more than just a game. And — as the pics show — the pig sculpt is fantastic! Not a shock at all considering the quality of the Hot Wheels toy cars.
For Angry Birds Fans
The Minion Pig* toy car is definitely not a hot rod or an accurate representation of a real world car. What we have here will appeal most to Angry Birds fans, but anyone who collects Hot Wheels cars and encounters this may want to grab it. After all, only a buck for a cute character-inspired car is a great deal. Man, Mattel makes these cars way too cheap; some of them are tough to resist.
Enjoy the pics and then head out to see the entire Hot Wheels Angry Birds series (Amazon.com search*). I’ve also got Red, so expect a review and pics of that car very soon . . .
