Review – Spider-Man Face Off Dice Game
Following yesterday’s review of the Star Wars Face Off dice game (review here) I wanted to be sure to get Wonder Forge’s other new Face Off series game up on the site. This new Spider-Man Face Off Dice Game* follows last year’s Justice League Face Off Dice Game (review here), meaning that casual game fans now have three different choices for how to play the same game.
Press Your Luck!
You really need to see my Justice League Face Off review and Star Wars Face Off review, because those two reviews really do tell you everything you need to know about this game. The goal is to be the first to reach 250 points by rolling either heroes or villains, and the way the game is designed there’s absolutely no reason that if you have all three versions then up to three players can all be playing at once. Race!
Does Anyone Need All Three?
Absolutely not! With gameplay identical to two other titles from Wonder Forge, this Spider-Man Face Off Dice Game* should be on your shelf only if you do not already have one of the other two games or if you’re a fan of Spider-Man. That two-sided dice cup is pretty swell, and it’s the cup more than anything that you’re buying if you pick up this game.
The three titles may all be the same, but I suspect we haven’t seen the end of Wonder Forge’s Face Off system. Pretty much any brand can be married to this design, so I fully hope to see Hot Wheels and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles editions in the future. After all, we all need more character dice cups on our shelves. Right?
