Review – World War Robot Dirty Deeds Bloody Edition Bertie

Here’s the first exclusive to the World War Robot* Bertie 7 Pack (review here) robot figure, the Dirty Deeds Bloody Edition. With a machete and three severed heads, this guy’s accessories (other than his pouches and pistol) are unique to him, making him one of the robots that everyone wants.

Choppy-Chop!

This nasty-looking, wicked blade looks fantastic in Bertie’s hands, but unfortunately Bertie can’t quite grip his blade tight enough to satisfy me . . . or to hold onto it during rough play. He does look cool, though, so as long as you just pose him with the blade the weak grip isn’t an issue.

Look at That Skull!

Nice! The skull design on the front of the Dirty Deeds Bloody Edition Bertie gives the robot an awesome look, and I love how the single eye pops right in the center of the skull design. And as we’ve come to expect, the design doesn’t stop there; take a look at the right shoulder and check out that pedestrian with exploding head symbol. Yeah, this robot knows his job . . . and does it well.

Pouches and Holsters, Oh My!

Take a look at that photo, above, and you can see why I love the cloth accessories on these robots. Every bit as good as the pieces my Sideshow 12-inch scale G.I. Joe Cobra Trooper (review here) and Sideshow 12-inch scale Cobra Commander (review here) come with, these really add to the toy’s fun and play value. I love how he can holster his massive pistol!

Closing Thoughts

I feel like I’m really ripping you guys off with these Bertie reviews, but I hope the photos and number of robot reviews in such a short time makes you all happy. Unfortunately, this particular robot is an exclusive and not available at retail so unless you’re ready to pay some bucks on eBay you won’t get one of these.
