Revisiting the Star Wars H-Wing Fighter
The West End Games Star Wars Roleplaying Game (Amazon.com search*) was a fantastic source of fun back in the late eighties. Many hours were spent roleplaying in the Star Wars universe, and once I discovered material outside of the official rulebooks my mind exploded with ideas.
One of the better unofficial contributions to the game at the time was the H-Wing fighter in Challenge Magazine. I mentioned this ship last year, and today I’d like to take a second look at the design since I managed to score a better version of the artwork. Check this out, and then imagine what it was like in the late eighties when Lucasfilm was letting Star Wars rest and fans were designing amazing starships like the H-Wing. I still love this design!
