Robot Changer and Transformation Artwork
Transforming robots were hugely popular in 1985, and this artwork from the Robot Changer series gives us a tiny peek at a short series of (bad) fun storybooks. I’ve got four books from this line, and as near as I can tell that’s the entire series. Regardless of whether or not there are other titles, I love how they used a two-page spread in this book to show off three robots transforming.
Look at this, people! This is how awesome robot artwork should always be approached. There was a lot of better artwork made during this time, but something about this strikes me as dynamic and exactly what I would have spent hours staring at if I had owned this book when I was a kid.
As it is I promise not to look at these books more than a few hours every single week. Really!
