Saturday Morning Cereal Time with Strawberry Shortcake in 1982
Way back in 2009 I posted a Strawberry Shortcake commercial but, unfortunately, with the way the web works that video no longer exists. At the time I mentioned how I wasn’t at all a fan of Strawberry Shortcake back in the eighties, but these days sites like Strawberry Shortcake Central really do make me appreciate all of the work that has been sunk into the brand over the years.
Now if I could just find a good guide to the Strawberry Shortcake toys of the eighties . . . Hey, don’t judge me! It’s research for, well, for fun. Stop looking at me like that and just watch the commercial.

I can unabashedly say that I enjoy those Strawberry Shortcake cartoon specials from the 80s. I also used to covet the toys that some of my childhood female friends had. I remember loving the fact that they were scented and was bummed my parents wouldn’t get me any of them :p I had a lot of fun talking about these (and Jem and My Little Pony) on the Saturday Supercast… http://saturdaysupercast.tumblr.com/post/65700487826/my-little-pony-strawberry-shortcake-jem-truly
