“Saturday’s Best on ABC” in 1980
I don’t often flip through old issues of Richie Rich comic books, but if there are more ads like this one for ABC’s Saturday mornings in 1980 then it may be worth the time to sit down with a stack of Richie Rich books. Let’s see, we’ve got Thundarr the Barbarian, Superfriends, Plasticman, and . . . WTF? There was a Happy Days Gang cartoon where they traveled in a time machine?
Uhm. Yes, yes there really was a Happy Days cartoon that featured a time machine. As proof, here’s the opening of the cartoon. Maybe I’ll avoid Richie Rich comics after all.

That was why waking up early Saturday mornings was so worth it when I was little. CBS and NBC also had great lineups. So many good choices and fun cartoons.

@Jeffrey Lyles – I’ve got Thundaar on DVD and man, some of those episodes get weird!
