“Save on a Special Selection of ‘Star Wars’ by Kenner”

This newspaper ad from late 1983 again shows us how Kenner’s Star Wars Micro Collection failed at retail. I wish that it hadn’t — those little toy designs are incredible! — but the truth is, unfortunately, the toys simply never found an audience and the line was quickly killed. Too bad, because the unreleased prototypes shown in Gus & Duncan’s Guide to Star Wars Micro Collection Toys are amazing works of art and should have had a chance at retail.
