Shadows of the Empire on N64

While working on Empire of Shadows I took an unnecessary tangent that wasn’t contributing anything of value to the book. Rather than stop myself, though, I wrapped up the thought and then cut it from the book. Best to get it out of my system and all, right? It wouldn’t do to leave that thought bouncing around in my skull forever.

And, because I can, I took the cut text and brought it over here to battlegrip.com where I can annoy you with unnecessary words. Ah, the benefits of running a website and being answerable to no one . . .

My personal experiences with the Shadows of the Empire video game (find at Amazon.com*) are quite limited; you see, I’ve never owned an N64, so the only time I’ve ever touched the game was the few months in 1996 when it was the demo title at a Target store. I spent far too many hours playing that Hoth demo, and if I’d had the cash at the time, I likely would have bought the game and an N64 and then spent thousands of hours playing through the game. It’s probably best that I instead worked and spent most of my free hours reading, reading, and learning the skills that have defined my life.
