Shogun Warriors Model Kit Ad in Galactic Wars Comix
Warren capitalized on the success of Star Wars in 1978 by producing Galactic Wars Comix. The book featured sci-fi comic stories, and as near as I can tell there were reprints of older comics from other Warren comic magazines like Creepy. Unfortunately, I cannot find a detailed article discussing this particular series so all we can do is take a look at issue #4 on archive.org and marvel at the work. Damn, now I hope someone collects Warren’s short-run sci-fi books into hardcover collections.
Anyway, hiding in this issue was this cool ad for Shogun Warriors model kits. What kid can resist sales text like “New!” and “Different” and “They Move!” when it comes to model kits?
