Slow to Update

Sorry, but the updates here at battlegrip.com are gonna be very slow (or possibly non-existent) over the next day or two. I’m back from Hong Kong but I have a sickness that isn’t fun. My voice is gone and it’s the cold from hell.

It really sucks to spend a day at home and not work on a single toy review or any new entries for the site. I’ve got several “reading” posts I want to complete and I have a mound of toys just waiting to jump up on the site and say hi.

While we wait for me to recover, though, let’s pass the time with a simple game: Which review here at battlegrip.com is your favorite and why?

  1. Man… I hope you get to feeling better. I’m still sick 3 weeks after first coming down with a cold. The last thing you want is for that beast to turn into bronchitis! Take care of yourself!

    My favorite review here on Battlgrip was the first one I ever read: The 1:18 scale Terminator: Salvation figures. It gave me exactly the information I needed to know at the time, and the little banner on the introduced me to Glyos for the first time ever.

    Thanks for making this site awesome, man!

  2. Best wishes, Phil! Get well soon!

    I like your Marvel Universe reviews – they make me kinda wanting the toys badly – but since the Wolverine figures were not good to me (ripped plastic on articulation, too gumby) i still hesitate on these.
    But still: good job on the reviews and also do love your announcements. i bought me recently the Ham-Ster by Matthias Bax you got linked to on here.

  3. @Monsterforge – You have no idea how happy it makes me that the blend of content here at the site — both mass-market toys and independent toys — helps guys find completely new things.

  4. @Ralph – Marvel Universe is a line that has really grown on me. Something about the 3.75-inch scale superhero action figures just calls to me in a way that the 6-inch figures never will. And I’ve got more reviews of toys in this series on the way.

  5. yes i totally know what you mean, phil. i like the size too and try to get me anything i can get (for cheap prefered :D). I even bought me the Harry Potter figures from Popco. They got one point more in articulation on the hips than SW figs which is really cool and making them my favouritest in 3 3/4 inch scale. The Hellboy are cool too but they don´t fit in any other line, sadly. From the marvel line i would like to get me all females – the Valkyrie one is just so sweet looking!

  6. I can’t think of just one that I like the most
    so here are the ones that stand out for me :

    Marvel Universe Red Hulk
    https://www.battlegrip.com/?p=6013

    because I love that action figure

    Weird Wheels Stickers
    https://www.battlegrip.com/?p=9419

    I never knew of these cool cards
    and your review clued me in about
    their existence.

    =========================

    Taco Bell Bellhedz Toys
    https://www.battlegrip.com/?p=6092

    because you avoided the kneejerk reaction
    to proclaim kidrobot was somehow being
    robbed, and you simply reviewed the toys

    ===================

    Jada Battle Machines 1:64 Scale Diecast Cars
    https://www.battlegrip.com/?p=5275
    and
    your HOT WHEELS reviews — such as :
    https://www.battlegrip.com/?p=7262
    https://www.battlegrip.com/?p=6259

    because I collect diecast cars and your
    reviews let me know of cool cars I’ve
    missed or they reinforce why I like the
    ones I have so much
