SpecFIGURES 4 at Red Planet Toys
The latest newsletter from Red Planet Toys offered a lot of high-end 12-inch scale action figures, mostly stuff I’d already seen online, but hidden deep down the list of items I spotted SpecFIGURES 4, a book devoted to customizing 12-inch scale action figures.

I love books. I love toys. I love the thought of flipping through a book that’s devoted solely to customizing 12-inch scale action figures. What I don’t love, though, is the thought of picking up #4 in a series when 1-3 have sold out.
Time to poke around eBay a little. Maybe I can find the first book in the series and get a close look at what sort of hints and tips they offer in the SpecFIGURE series.
I wish I could find some details on this series. Are these hardcovers? Perfect-bound books? How many pages? Are they in English?
I’d be interested in these myself… I’ve been wanting to try kitbashing a WWR grunt to go with my Large Martin. Seems easy enough if all you’re going to do is mix and match outfits and kibble and repaint it, but this looks alot more involved.
